This paper presents Methods of Oil spill volume estimation as it applies to Niger Delta, Nigeria. The need for proper oil spill volume estimation stems from the fact that decisions on type of response depends on the volume of oil spilled. A window-based software capable of handling the computations was developed based on Visual Basic. Result shows that the volume of oil spilled evaluated from spilled area data has a good relationship with that recovered from spill site.
