THE DYNAMICS OF PREDATOR-PREY INTERACTIONS WITH CANNIBALISM
T. G. Kassem
A mathematical model for the dynamics of a predator-prey system with cannibalism among the predators is developed. The Holling’s type III functional response is used for the predator’s consumption rate and the BD and Holling’s type III functional responses as rates of cannibalism. Conditions for the stability of the equilibrium points were obtained. The results show that the use of BD and Holling’s type III functional responses for the rate of cannibalism has a significant effect on the dynamics of the system.
