The investigation thermodynamically analyzed the use of micro-turbine to power an air-conditioning system in spark ignition automobiles using the exhaust gas from the engine. The conceptual spark ignition engine with micro-turbine gave better engine performance as compared to the conventional engine, where the compressor to the air-conditioner is directly powered by the engine.
